Professional MMA Fighters Alana Cook and Keanan Kellar will take you through an interactive, informative, and inspiring ninety-minute lesson on basic self-defence. This workshop includes martial arts demos, situational awareness, body language, street safety, and practical self-defence tools that everyone should know. Learn how to prevent conflict, protect yourself, and escape from unsafe situations. This course is for people of all ages, sizes, and athletic ability.

About the Presenters:
Alana Cook is a professional MMA fighter from Maple Ridge, BC, and a member of Métis Nation British Columbia. The founder of Walking Like Warriors, Alana is extremely passionate about empowering Indigenous women and youth to protect themselves, and believes that self-defence is a human right for all.
Keanan Kellar is a professional MMA fighter from Terrace, BC. A former amateur kickboxing champion and a brown belt in Brazilian-Jiu-jitsu, Keanan has experience coaching folks of all fitness levels and ages, and loves watching people fall in love with the martial arts.
