Where: Videoconference, in partnership with the UBC Learning Circle

This presentation will focus on the Stem Cell & Marrow Network.  The Canadian Blood Services is a program dedicated to recruiting healthy, committed volunteer donors for patients in need of stem cells. Becky Luk, Patient & Transplant Liaison Specialist and Dr. Tanya Petraszko, Medical Director of the CBS OneMatch Cord Blood Program, will lead a session for the UBC Learning Circle. They will be speaking about stem cells, the current shortage of First Nations donors, and how to become a donor. Joining her will be Genie and Gabe to share their personal experiences.
