Almost two-thirds of all people struggling with arthritis believe that physical activity poses the risk of aggravating, or making worse, their symptoms.
The workshop will shed some light on why patients have pain, why they get stiff, why the weather affects them and what arthritis looks like at the bone level.

About the Presenter:
Cari Taylor, Manager, Education & Services Vancouver Island Region, The Arthritis Society – brings years of corporate administration, team building and leadership skills to the Victoria Arthritis Society’s team, as well as her highly developed toastmaster skills.
Cari was raised in a Canadian Air Force family where she lived throughout Canada and Europe. The experience provided Cari with a global perspective, nurtured cultural sensitivity and empathy.
This “”down to earth” presenter is engaging, humorous and loved by all who hear her speak. Throughout the years, she has worked with many First Nations throughout Vancouver Island and the Mainland. She has done presentations for the Kingcome Inlet Band, Tsouke (Sooke), Nuuchahnulth, Homalco, Quinsam, Tsawout, Songhees, Lake Cowichan, Yuutu?it?ath (Ucluelet).
Enthusiastic, spirited and fun loving, Cari is a “morning person” all day long!
