About the Presenters
Formerly an educator at Healing Our Spirit, Jessica St. Jean (Program Manager of YouthCO’s Aboriginal Youth Program) is passionate about working with our communities to share knowledge and have some fun while we’re at it. This passion, Jessica believes, comes simply from being a Squamish woman. As her mentor and friend says, “we were the original feminists and the original hippies.”
Dakota Prince is the new Yúusnewas Outreach Educator at YouthCO. She is a Cree and Ojibway youth from Vancouver, BC. Dakota has been working with the community with other organizations from theatre arts to digital media since she was 15. Working with fellow youth around important issues has been the most fulfilling “work” she has done.
