On Wednesday, April 4th, 2012, Barabara Hennessy and Bonnie Caitlin will lead a workshop and discussion entitled “What is Hear Failure?” with the UBC Learning Circle.
Heart Failure (HF) has been identified as a significant health problem in BC. The Specialized Populations Working Group has been established by the Provincial Heart Failure Committee to identify needs of specialized populations, gaps in service and plans to address these needs. As part of our work with Specialized Populations, there has been recognition that more dialogue is required between our Working Group and the Aboriginal Population. Our presentation and workshop is an opportunity for us to share what we have learned about Heart Failure, the care of the individual with Heart Failure and an opportunity for us to learn from the Learning Circle participants’ experiences and knowledge.
