Shannon Froehlich and the Frontline Warriors Positive Prevention team from Positive Living North will be presenting to the UBC Learning Circle on Wednesday, January 19th, 2011. In this session, each member will share their experiences with diagnosis, lifestyle, and current status and health, discuss with participants regarding healthy lifestyles and choice, and the importance of acceptance and prevention education in communities.
Positive Prevention; Front Line Warriors are a group of people living with HIV, involved in becoming educators &trainers in HIV prevention work. Our group is based out of Positive Living North in Prince George, B.C. We travel extensively to rural and Aboriginal communities all over the Northern and Interior health regions. We also conduct workshops local, regional, and provincial conferences & high schools as well as to provincial groups and to other PLWHIV. Our member share their personal experiences of living with HIV/AIDS/HCV, promote a prevention message, and gather ideas on how to reduce stigma, discrimination, and negativity regarding HIV/AIDS/HCV from a community perspective.
