November 30th, 2018 – Connect to Others with Jeska Slater from IndigenEYEZ

Jeska Slater from IndigenEYEZ joins us for Part Three of the Connect series. This session explores ways to connect to others that are in alignment with Indigenous ways and support us to stand in our power. We will share oral histories and stories that embody the traditional values that will breathe life back into our communities. Participants will learn more about essential means of connecting including deep listening, strength-based communication, appreciative inquiry, and celebrating successes.

This session will:

  • Share insights and activities that support us to enhance our relationships and navigate challenging ones.
  • Encourage participants to go deeper in identifying the masks and triggers that prevent us from showing up authentically.
  • Discuss patterns and ways of being in our communities that are a result of residential schools and colonization.
