We welcome Cari Taylor back to the UBC Learning Circle for another informative, interactive and interesting session, this time on the importance of self-care when caring for a loved one.

Stress & Family Caregiving.  In our lifetimes – ALL of US – will either care for a family member or be cared for.  It’s a big role and can be physically, mentally, spiritually and financially challenging.  Join us to learn some tips to stay healthy, access services, manage the stress and avoid burnout.  Family Caregivers of BC are here to help!

 About the Presenter:

Cari Feb 2016Cari Taylor, Manager – Programs for Family Caregivers of British Columbia, is the Program Manager for the Family Caregivers of British Columbia. She brings years of corporate administration, team building and leadership skills to this Provincial Non-Profit Society office. She is also a ‘Family Caregiver’ and knows first hand the challenges of this role.

She grew up in an Air Force family and therefore has lived all across Canada & Europe. This experience has provided her with a wide global perspective, nurtured cultural sensitivity and empathy for all peoples.

Cari is an incredible presenter, an accomplished toastmaster, is engaging, humorous and most of all – down to earth. She is loved by all who hear her speak. Throughout the years, she has worked with many First Nations throughout the Island and the Mainland. She has done presentations for Kingcome Inlet, Tsouke (Sooke), Nuuchahnulth, Homalco, Quinsam, Tsawout, Songhees, Lake Cowichan, Yuutu?it?ath (Ucluelet) and even worked for a few years in the OKIB. (Okanagan Indian Band)

Enthusiastic, spirited and fun loving, Cari is a “morning person” all day long!
