Ivo Haggerty, Circle Facilitator
Ivo is Cree of Cowessess, born and raised on Coast Salish Territories (aka the East Side of Vancouver), and is a queer two-spirited male-bodied, non-violence paciFIST who has a passion for challenging beliefs/values and disarming passive stigma through cooperative dialogues. Ivo is also a slam poet and die-hard Star Wars fan. Likes bannock, dislikes the 2010 Olympics.
Ivo is YouthCO’s Aboriginal Youth Program Coordinator.

Jessica St. Jean, Circle Facilitator
Jessica is from the Squamish Nation ofNorth Vancouver. She became passionate about social justice, activism and sexuality through volunteering at a transition house and crisis line while attending university. She is excited to work with the youth of our communities to empower through knowledge sharing, breaking down stigma and opening discussion around colonization and our sexuality.
Jessica is YouthCO’s Aboriginal Youth Program Mentor.

Genevieve
, Circle Moderator and Coordinator
Genevieve is of Estonian, Italian and Catalan descent, with close family ties to the Tahltan First Nation. She holds an M.A. in Curriculum Development, combined with Indigenous Governance and her thesis was entitled “HIV Prevention from Aboriginal Youth Perspectives”. Her research was based on Healing Our Spirit Aboriginal AIDS Society’s youth peer educators. She is passionate about community empowerment through creative expression education, and has worked primarily on issues around social justice and health resulting from politics, war, colonization and marginalization. She has worked both in Canada and internationally developing and running intensive educational youth projects. She has also developed curriculum in the areas of preventative health, leadership, social work training, stereotyping and racism.
